Percy and Reed Hair: Wonder Overnight Recovery Review

Recently I've started buying fashion and beauty magazines again so I can have a browse at the latest trends and seeing which products are the next big hit. I picked up the Elle magazine as I noticed they had a freebie inside which caught my eye. It was this Percy and Reed Hair Wonder Overnight Recovery. Three reasons why this product caught my eye:

  1.  For a sample the tube looks rather big and I thought I could get a few uses out of this
  2. I've never heard of their products before so I thought i'd give it a whirl
  3. The packaging looks super cute
Once I'd bought my multiple magazines I went onto their website to read up on this product and discovered it's not actually out yet so I guess this sample was for the promotion of their new launch. I have no idea how much it will be retailing at but judging by their other products it'll be something between £10 - £20 which is quiet expensive. I believe their Wonder Overnight Recovery will be available from the 1st of June online and in stores.

The Blurb on the back says "Instantly absorbed into dry hair Wonder Overnight Recovery helps to nourish and re-hydrate every strand. Natural Protein boosts the hair's ability to retain moisture, which potent conditioning agents resist humidity, fight frizz and boost shine. The leave in treatment promotes your hairs strength and flexibility, combating brittleness, breakage and the signs of daily damage".

So I applied the product and massaged into my roots and applied some to the ends of my hair before bed as recommended and slept with it in, it's basically an overnight hair mask. The product was almost like a lotion which was quiet light it didn't appear to be thick and heavy. For me the scent wasn't very overpowering either, i'd say it smelt like that Salon type of smell or conditioner something like that. Either way I liked it. The morning after I washed it out with shampoo like it recommends. It tells you that no conditioner is needed but I still conditioned my hair anyway because I do it religiously. I then went onto drying and styling as normal which for me I straighten my hair every time I wash it, I don't usually need to do it the day after, my hair stays straight.

It didn't 'fix' my split ends as such or even make a difference too my split ends but what I did notice was it left my hair feeling very soft, sleek and shiny after heat had been applied and that did impress me because I feel my hair looks rather dull and dry. I've recently had some blonde put into the ends of my hair and I THINK it brightened the blonde a little bit too. I'm a bit unsure as to whether i'd repurchase this product again due to the price range being so steep but i'd definitely recommend purchasing the ELLE Magazine and trying out the sample inside to see what you think first before buying the full sized product. Apart from the price range I think this a really good product that lives up to what it claims to do for you.

Have you tried this product or any others from Percy and Reeds Hair range?

Yes scrolling through Facebook has actually given me inspiration to create this blog post, I know it sounds silly but I think it's a really good idea. May's Monthly Goals

May is the month that's going to be super busy for me, due to having so many exciting new things happening that I have to prepare for over the upcoming months. One of them being in less than 6 weeks till I go away on my first holiday away with my boyfriend, I'm going to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote for anyone who is wondering and I will be right a few blog posts about my time there.

I wanted to set myself some goals for the month to see if I achieve them and then I can write another blog post reviewing them to see how well I did and if I stuck at them (HA chances of that happening?)

  1. Develop a sensible sleeping pattern, Waking up before 11am
  2. Get into reading and actually read the books I've bought and had bought for me
  3. Smile at strangers in the street or shops in hope to make someones day
  4. Stick to blogging 3 times a week for the full month and have blog posts on time
  5. Get into the habit of cleaning up after myself instead of saying "I'll do it later"
  6. Not worry about what other people may think
  7. Have some 'me time' once a week pampering myself and taking a break
  8. Exercise 3/4 times a week every week
  9. Stick to buying colourful clothing for the holiday not black and white
  10. Have fun and laugh as much as I possibly can

April Favourites

Goodbye April, Hello May!

Where has the year gone!? We are almost half way through the year, I literally cannot believe we're in May already. Anyway the point of this post is that there have been a few beauty products I have bought recently and I have been loving them SO much and I would like to share them with you in case anything tickles your fancy or if you've been thinking of buying anything hopefully I will help.

This Highlighter is hands down the best highlighter I've tried yet, it truly does make my skin look super healthy and glowy. I literally put it anywhere on my face; Cheekbones, brow bone, tear duct and down the centre of my nose.

I only bought this last week and applied it once to my nails but I absolutely adore this shade it's like a very light dirty purpley cream/grey shade. Even though I've only applied it once it has last a whole week for me and it's only just started to chip and that's without a clear topcoat! I know I'll get so much use out of this. It is officially my go to shade!

I've noticed that this seems to be a lot of peoples favourite go to mascara at the minute and it has been mine for a while now, I don't think I will ever switch mascaras again. My eyelashes are rather straight so it means I have to curl them before I apply anything. Usually once I've applied my choice of mascara my eyelashes go flat again, they never seem to hold. However with Maybellines sensational mascara they hold really well and lasts all day, it also adds a pretty decent length to my lashes too.

A lot of you will probably already read reviews on this product but I'll talk about it anyway. I bought this purely because I needed a new brow product and my brows worked best with a wax so I thought I'd try a pomade instead because they're kind of similar. I have this in the shade product and I really do like this product. I like the fact when using this product a little goes a long way so it will probably last me forever (that's if the pot doesn't go all yucky). The pomade lasts me all day and doesn't seem to smudge when I've applied a clear brow gel to hold them in place. I really recommend trying out this product if you haven't already and like a bold brow because it's had a lot of positive reviews.

Do I really need to talk about this product? I'm sure you've already heard so much about it considering it was hyped about so much since Kylie Jenner. I've bought this about a month ago and it's very quickly become a favourite of mine. I've worn it basically every day since buying it and I can't express how much I love it. Although it can be quite drying on the lips because it's matte but just make sure you apply a moisturiser before applying and you'll be fine. I can now see why everyone loves Velvet Teddy and I genuinely think this is a shade I will adore for a very long time.

That pretty much sums up last months favourites and I'm looking for new products to discover and try out so feel free to let me know!

Summer Beach Holiday Wishlist

It's now that time of year when everyone is starting to go away and getting their tan on. Sun, Sea and cocktails are along the horizon (for me anyway), I've still got 6 weeks to wait till I'm boarding that plane and I seriously cannot wait! (now fantasizing over strawberry daiquiri's beside the poolside). I've seen a few bits I like so I thought it was time to update my wardrobe, out with the old in with the new.

I thought I'd share some of my favourite pieces that are currently on my wishlist in case you like them and you can buy them for yourself.
